PRAISE FOR LESLIE

“Leslie Klipsch is eloquent, engaging, intelligent, and delightfully funny. She is an incredible storyteller, drawing from her own experience and the experience of others. She shares insights that allow listeners to consider our common humanity in this beautiful, yet difficult, world of ours.” ~ Ann McGlynn, Director of Communications, St. Paul Lutheran Church

“I can think of dozens of reasons why Leslie is great, but allow me to zero in on the most important. Leslie has spoken to my AP Human Geography class numerous times on the topic of empowering women across the globe, specifically Africa. This is a heavy topic for adults, not to mention the self-centered worlds of high school sophomores. Yet by the end of the her talk, my students are demanding action. If you are looking for a speaker who can take glassy-eyed, apathetic sophomores and transform them into catalysts of change, then Leslie Klipsch is your top choice.” ~ Aaron Cousins, World History Teacher, West High School

“Leslie made us laugh, made us think, made us know we can change this world together. Her passion for clean drinking water and social justice inspired a group of sleep-deprived, goldfish-encrusted stay at home moms to not only keep the peace in our homes but to work for peace in a place far from home.” ~ Sara Harless, St. Paul Moms Morning

“Leslie Klipsch is a most enlightening young woman that has a zest for life.  I’ve known Leslie for many years, she understands the community and strives to serve those around her.  Initially, Leslie was quick to assist me by volunteering to teach a healthy cooking classes at her local Y,  and later assisted me with teaching  newly arrived refugees how to maneuver the city bus.  Leslie’s ability to be in community is a beautiful thing…” ~ Amy R. Rowell, Director World Relief Moline

I’ve presented for groups of junior high and high school students on topics including creative writing, prayer, and the world water crisis. I’ve taught writing workshops on the topic of food writing and writing about motherhood, and have presented stories of travel, adoption, healthy living, and social justice to groups of adults. You might also catch me on Paula Sands Live, a regional talk show where I regularly contribute ideas for frugal and fabulous living and discuss articles that I’ve written for various publications. If you’d like me to speak at your next event, please contact me using the form below.
